Frequently asked questions

Choosing a different path for your child’s education comes with a lot of questions. That’s especially true when self-directed learning looks very different from the school experience most of us grew up with.

At Passages, young people have real autonomy over their learning and their days, but self-directed does not mean unsupported or without structure. Learners are part of a small community where adults know them well, opportunities are available every day, and support is there when they need it.

Here are some of the questions families ask us most often about learning, community, and daily life at Passages.
