Why are YOU in charge of MY education?

The education system has always been a topic of controversy. One of the most significant issues is the little choice students have in what they learn. For the most part, students are told what to study, how to study it, and how much time to spend on it. This lack of control over our education raises the question ask by many, ‘why are you in charge of my education?’

Many students feel that the education system is outdated and does not prepare them for the real world. Instead, it focuses on memorization and regurgitation of information. This approach does not allow for creativity, individuality, or critical thinking skills to develop.

Moreover, the idea that schools are the sole determinants of what and how we learn is problematic. Each student has different interests, passions, and goals, and the education system should cater to these individual needs.

At Passages, we believe the education system needs to be re-evaluated to provide students with more control over their education. We need an education system that fosters creativity, individuality, and critical thinking skills while catering to the individual needs of students. It's time to ask ourselves ‘why can’t I be in charge of my education?’ At the Passages Centre we answer this question everyday.
